ClearPix VMS Mobile enables security professionals to connect to the ClearPix VMS (Video Management System) platform over any IP wireless network with Apple devices including the IPad, IPhone, and IPod Touch. Android App coming soon. VMS Mobile enables operators to remotely view live and recorded surveillance video to improve response times to incidents from any location.
The ability to remotely view security cameras is one of the most useful features of your ClearPix VMS system. It provides the ability to check on your home or business with any computer or lap top which has an internet connection. The remote viewing feature also allows you to remotely review and download the recorded clips to your local PC, as well as view and control security cameras.
On Site:
First, the security cameras should be connected to the ClearPix NVR. The NVR must have an internet connection, preferably broad band (DSL or Cable). The NVR will require a static IP address provided by your internet provider.
Remote computer:
The remote computer can be a standard PC or a lap top with DSL, T1 or Cable Internet access. We highly recommend using DSL or Cable internet connections.
- Minimum remote computer Specification shall be Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB Ram, Windows XP, 7 or Vista.
- Web-Browser must be ran on Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater
Remote Access:
You have two options for remotely viewing your cameras using the internet. You can access the NVR server by using Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater or by loading the ClearPix Remote Viewing Client software on to the remote PC. Internet Explorer allows you to remotely use the most common functions of the NVR such as viewing cameras, smart search, pixel search, book marking, saving video and playing back the recorded video clips. If you want the ability to remotely change camera configurations you will need to install the Client software onto the remote PC. The Cient software allows complete control of all aspects of the system as if you were there .
